Hazardous substance incidents can affect many people including operators, people working nearby and members of the public. Systems for the control and the safe use of substances are crucial to the safe working procedures in your workplaces where substances are used, stored, handled, transported and disposed of regardless of the quantities used. All industries require this type of training.
Hazardous substances are used in many workplaces and may lead to a wide range of conditions including dermatitis, asthma and disease. Around 10,000 people die each year from work-related ill health and many of these deaths are due to exposure to substances hazardous to health.
