We knew that there would be some additional guidance and regulations following the awful Grenfell fire in 2017.
It would seem the new Building Safety Act is targeting fire safety in a much deeper way.
There has been additional sections added on many of the accreditations that I support my clients with and some of these questions are as follows:
How do you ensure your staff are aware of the fire procedures
What training is carried out
Provide the training information
Provide dates of reviews
Provide systems for protecting 3rd party, contractors and visitors
Provide guidance on your procedures if staff do not follow the rules
Provide hot work procedures
Provide staff meeting minutes
Provide signed and dated tool box talk training sessions
Document fire emergency plans.
So a much more in-depth set of questions.
