Sleep in the warm weather

When visiting my clients in this month of July I am hearing how they are struggling to get some good peaceful sleep when it is so warm.

Sleeping in the warm weather

As you are aware sleep is so very important for every single person.

The advice I have been giving to my clients is:

  • Try to keep your curtains closed during the day to keep the heat out.
  • Open all the windows
  • Have some water next to your bed
  • Take the duvet off and replace with a sheet
  • Set up a fan near your bed
  • Have a cool shower before bed
  • Leave phones and laptops out of the bedroom and lastly
  • Rub some lavender essential oil on your wrists and on a tissue in your pillow.

I really believe that lavender will enhance your sleep as it relaxes the mind and the body and this allows you to drift off quicker and also stay asleep for longer.
